eBay

At Edelman, I was an animation and creative lead for eBay and eBay Newsroom social channels. This included creating announcement videos, quarterly earnings videos, and other assorted video content. Below is a collection of some of these projects.

Managed Delivery

This video announced and outlines eBay’s new method of delivery called Managed Delivery.

This was an extremely collaborative process with my creative partner Rebecca Price. We ran to the whiteboard to sketch out different characters and scenes, trying to find the best way to tell this story. I’m a sucker for a good match cut, so we landed on a concept that followed the box through it’s journey from seller to buyer.

Branded Graphics Templates

In order to improve eBay’s video production pipeline, I created a large library of animated templates for eBay to incorporate into their video content.

After designing and animating each asset, I rigged up a control system using After Effects JavaScript Expressions to make it easy for users to select color and type layout options. The full package included several text cards, logo animations, and lower thirds, each of which were available in three different aspect ratios and six different color options, with additional controls that varied by asset.

Where in the World is eBay?

This animation demonstrates the top countries to which U.S. eBay sellers export their products.

I combined 3D and 2D animation techniques to create a dynamic and lively image that stays true to eBay’s flat, colorful branding.
